Ma'ati Spa was founded by Maya Gilliam—a proud Howard University graduate and native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina—who brought her vision for world-class wellness from the United States to the heart of Accra, Ghana. For over 11 years, Ma'ati Spa has set the standard for exceptional spa experiences, blending international five-star luxury with authentic, thoughtful hospitality.
Our journey in Ghana began inside two of Accra's most prestigious five-star hotels: Number 1 Hotel & Suites in Osu and Kwarleyz Residence in Airport. After establishing our reputation for excellence, we relocated to our own private building in West Trasacco, East Legon. Today, this serene West Trasacco property serves as an exclusive guest house, offering both short and long stays for those seeking privacy and comfort.
The Ma'ati Spa experience now lives in our brand-new, purpose-built spa facility in the tranquil Lakeside area, just 15 minutes from West Trasacco. This bespoke compound is designed for total relaxation and features three distinct overnight accommodation options:

Every overnight guest enjoys our signature services: aromatherapy, a foot scrub and foot massage inside a calabash bowl, shoulder massage, and a delicious hot breakfast served every morning—on the house. All of the beautiful flowers and leaves used in our signature services are grown right here in our compound's lush spa garden.
